The photo series WE VIENNESE IN VIENNA is conceived as a poster series. The slogan WE VIENNESE IN VIENNA forms the thematic bracket of the series, the visual bracket is formed by the artist himself. Michael Vonbank lends his face to all Viennese with a migration background on the posters. In this way, he plays with national identity attributions that are fixed on outward appearances, he breaks up their patterns and playfully leads them ad absurdum.
